LA Times
This was a lot of fun! I love assignments like this -- I was able to get some really great concepts in the sketches. The turnaround was really fast; only a couple of days.
In other news, I seem to have let my blog go again... I have so much stuff to post from the last few months, it's not even funny. More on that later?
Oh, and for those of you that are interested, I finally got around to updating my website. New splash image on the main page, and I took out 6 color pieces and put 6 new ones in their place. A lot of new work! The black and white section is kind of shabby right now, but never fear -- I basically took almost everything out, and I'm preparing to update it with all of the stuff I've done in the last few years. That'll probably be up within the next few days.

Yeah I did the same thing with my blog, I'm lazy as fuck. Side note, the hands in this remind me of HAMSTER PAWS which is AMAZING and I LOVE IT!! Are you going to post drawings from that class you took at the museum? Because I am into it. Was it a one time class or is it ongoing? I'm moving to New York in August to finish my BFA in Illustration at SVA so I would love to take it.
ReplyDeleteHahaha I never thought of hamster paws, but you are so right! Jesus, my hands are ALL like hamster paws!
DeleteAnd yeah, I'm definitely going to post more of those drawings. Some of them came out really well! Maybe I'll just do like a massive Museum of Natural History post. I'm sitting on way too much stuff and I need to catch this thing up. The class was amazing -- it's not ongoing, but there's another eight week session of it in the fall, so you should be in luck. I'm definitely taking it again -- only 150 bucks for eight weeks of quiet time with dead animals? Heaven.
$150!! That's a steal of a deal!! I think my least favorite part is the parent wanting to show their child that you are drawing and then want you to show their child what you are drawing. Like I'm part of the display. I mean, granted, maaaybe I shouldnt go to the zoo, monument to children everywhere, and draw and expect to be left alone....but I do anyway!!! Don't mind me, kids, just gonna be grumping along with my sketchbook.
